Ways to Take Action

Choose how you want to support immigrant rights in Falmouth and the Upper Cape—through advocacy, outreach to local businesses, or mutual aid.

Business Canvassing

Support outreach efforts by connecting directly with local businesses. Volunteers visit businesses to share Know Your Rights materials, the LUCE hotline number, and other information to help businesses prepare for potential visits from ICE and keep immigrant communities informed, prepared, and supported.

Legislative Advocacy

Advocate for policies that protect immigrant communities by engaging with local and state officials. This work includes promoting immigrant safety, urging state and local leaders to adopt inclusive policies and practices and prohibiting ICE from operating in public buildings.

Literature Distribution

Engage with the community by staffing a FIRC table at local events. Share Know Your Rights materials, answer questions, and connect people with resources that support and empower immigrant neighbors.

Letter Writing

Amplify FIRC’s mission by writing letters to the editor of local newspapers and other media. Share informed, compelling perspectives that advocate for immigrant rights, raise awareness, and help shape public conversation in our community.

LUCE Rapid Response

The LUCE Immigrant Justice Network operates a community defense hotline where reports of ICE activity and arrests are received in real time. Local volunteers can become trained LUCE responders to verify these reports, document what’s happening on the ground, and help ensure accurate information is available to support and defend those impacted.

Please save the LUCE Hotline in your phone's contacts and call whenever you see ICE activity: (617) 370-5023.

Mutual Aid / Family Support

Mutual aid is about neighbors supporting one another directly by sharing resources, time, and care to meet immediate needs. Connect with opportunities to contribute or receive help, strengthening a community rooted in solidarity rather than charity.
