Ways to Take Action
Choose how you want to support immigrant rights in Falmouth and the Upper Cape—through advocacy, outreach to local businesses, or mutual aid.
LUCE
LUCE operates a community defense hotline where reports of ICE activity and arrests are received in real time. Through a brief orientation, volunteers can become trained ICE verifiers who respond to these reports, document what’s happening on the ground, and help ensure accurate information is available to support the defense of those impacted.
Business Canvassing
Support outreach efforts by connecting directly with local businesses. Volunteers visit storefronts to share Know Your Rights materials, LUCE resources, and other information that helps keep immigrant communities informed, prepared, and supported.
Mutual Aid
Mutual aid is about neighbors supporting one another directly—sharing resources, time, and care to meet immediate needs. Connect with opportunities to contribute or receive help, strengthening a community rooted in solidarity rather than charity.

Amplify FIRC’s mission by writing letters to the editor of local newspapers. Share informed, compelling perspectives that advocate for immigrant rights, raise awareness, and help shape public conversation in our community.
Advocate for policies that protect immigrant communities by engaging with local and state officials. This work includes promoting immigrant safety, urging town leaders to adopt inclusive practices, and calling for ICE to be prohibited from operating in public buildings.
Engage with the community by staffing a FIRC table at local events. Share Know Your Rights materials, answer questions, and connect people with resources that support and empower immigrant neighbors.
